Dehydration can occur when you do not take in as much water as you eliminate. We must replace it. Our body is composed of 60% water. Every function we have depends on water, so dehydration can be quite serious whether it is chronic or acute. Anyone can potentially become dehydrated but young children and older adults are the most vulnerable.
